Recipe! The scary (but still cute!) Halloween cookies

This is a great way to start off the holiday season by making these adorable pumpkin and ghosts cookies. The best part is they taste great too!

You will see how easy it is and your kids will love helping to cut and decorate these cookies.

Let’s get started!

 Ingredients for 30 cookies:

For the dough:
• 3 cups of flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 cup of icing sugar
• 200 grams of butter at room temperature
• 2 eggs

For the decoration:
• 1 pack of white rolling fondant
• Food coloring -  the colour of your choice
• 1 edible pen

1 – In a bowl, mix the butter, flour, baking powder, eggs, icing sugar and a little vanilla flavouring. Mix until it forms a dough.
2 – Put a little bit of flour on your table and you can immediately spread the dough.
3 – Cut out the shapes of your choice from the dough, you can use steel cookie molds.
4 – Put the beautiful cookies on a baking sheet and bake them during 10 mins at 180 degrees Celsius.
5 – Let the cookies cool down. Meanwhile you can start preparing for the decoration.
6 – With your hands, mix the fondant with the food coloring until a homogeneous color is obtained. Alternatively, you can purchase the fondant in the color of your choice already made.
If you use food coloring, remember to put aprons on kids as food coloring stains!
7 – Spread out the fondant in a very thin layer and cut the same shape as your cookies.
8 – With your finger drop a little bit of water on the fondant and drop it delicately on your cookie. This will help the fondant to stick to the cookie
9 – Use your edible pen to decorate the cookies by drawing the mouth and the eyes or write whatever you want!

Have fun and be creative!
